Today, 06/Mar/2017,
Magnama 2 Block 16,

Has been more than 1 month passed, the activities still going on as the usual the mariner’s life at sea.

Also has more long time, the blogs no updating from any news, any some of copy paste article or something good to share.

So, if i wanna telling something, the secret maybe…, the Indonesian mariner life some time better.. sometime working, have job.. sometimes less job… get job and going to sea! 3 months latter finished contract and get back shore no job.. no job again.

it’s reality ,, realities of some group of seaman life..!

Now.. also here… maybe i get better and back again to blog.. creating and writing something to enjoying fun of the seaman life story… until the time will getting back to sign off, vacation and staying home, back to problem again, less job.

So, as the subject I’m gonna writing some fun things about Bangladesh offshore.. maybe get help for anyone of seaman on the planet.. which has been a over the world relationship of life at sea .

1. Sebutkan tugas dan tanggung jawab anda dikapal (Nakhoda):
Pasal 342 KUHD (TANGGUNG JAWAB NAKHODA)
Secara ekplisit menyatakan bahwa tanggung jawab atas kapal hanya berada pada tangan nahkoda, tidak ada yang lain. Jadi apapun yang terjadi diatas kapal menjadi tanggung jawab nahkoda, kecuali perbuatan kriminal.
Kalau melihat hal tersebut di atas maka secara ringkas singkat tanggung jawab dari seorang nahkoda kapal adalah sebagai berikut :
1. Memperlengkapi kapalnya dengan sempurna
2. Mengawaki kapalnya secara layak sesuai prosedur/aturan
3. Membuat kapalnya layak laut (seaworthy)
4. Bertanggung jawab atas keselamatan pelayaran
5. Bertanggung jawab atas keselamatan para pelayar yang ada diatas kapalnya
6. Mematuhi perintah Pengusaha kapal selama tidak menyimpang dari peraturan perundang-undangan yang berlaku

Noltime.com | Di pagi hari ini saya mencoba biasakan jari-jari tangan ini untuk bergerak mengetik beberapa hal yang sedang numpang mampir di pikiran sebelum nanti akan pergi dan lupa, bersamaan dengan sedikit lagi kopi di gelas, maka saya menuangkan dalam sebuah judul tulisan ini…. Apa yang di maksud dengan istilah Kongsberg SDP-21, Converteam ADP21?

Pada DP System Kongsberg memakai SDP (Simrad Dynamic Positioning) dan pada system lain Converteam memakai ADP (Albatross Dynamic Positioning). Kedua istilah SDP dan ADP ini memakai technologi yg berbeda namun tujuan kerja adalah sama. Pengertian umum dari perbedaan masing – masing yang seperti ditemui dalam pengesian DP log book adalah sbb:

SDP 11 – One Computer, basic system
SDP 12 – One Computer, integrated system
SDP 21 – Two computers, dual redundancy, basic system
SDP 22 – Two computers, dual redundancy, integrated system
SDP 31 – Three computer, triple redundancy, basic system
SDP 32 – Three computers, triple redundancy, integrated system

Abandon Dive:
Equivalent to red alert when divers return to the bell immediately and bell is brought back to the surface.

Artemis:
Radio system used to measure vessels position. System operates using a microwave frequency and measures the range and bearing of the vessel from a fixed station that is generally installed on a platform.

Back-up DP:
A physically separate DP control system that will be available in the event of a total failure of the main DP control system.

Beacon:
Free running device on seabed that generates acoustic pulses that are received by the HPR system and used to establish the vessels position.

Blackout:
Loss of all main electrical power.

Bollard pull:
The towing vessel’s pull normally specified as maximum continuous pull

Bridle towing arrangement:
Two wires or chains of equal length arranged as a triangle that connects the installation to the towing vessel

J-chaser:
Hook used by anchor handling vessels to “fish” the installation’s anchor lines

Kenter link:
Device for linking two chain lengths

Pear link:
Device for linking two different chain dimensions

Pendant:
Wire hanging permanently attached to the installation used for chasing out anchors. PCP (Permanent Chain Pendant)

Pennant wire:
Buoy wire; wire from the seabed up to a buoy on the surface

Permanent chaser:
Ring fitted over the anchor line connected to the pendant wire. Used by anchor handling vessel when hoisting

Swivel:
Connecting link or device used to prevent wire rotation

Toolbox Talk:
A meeting of the individuals due to be involved in an imminent task to review the task, individual responsibilities, equipment required, competency of the individuals, hazards, any Safe Job Analysis or Risk Assessment and/or Permit to Work in place, simultaneous tasks ongoing which may affect the task and any other relevant subject.

Jenis baling-baling yang daun baling2nya dapat diubah-ubah kedudukannya sesuai kecepatan yang diinginkan, tanpa merubah kecepatan/putaran mesin

Berikan keuntungan2 dan kerugian dari baling2 Controlable Pich Propeller (CPP) dibandingkan dg Fixed Pich Propeller (FPP)
Keuntungan CPP dibandingkan dgn FPP :
– Pada baling2 CPP tidak ada putaran kritis.
– CPP hemat bahan bakar
– Kisarnya dapat diatur

– Dapat mengganti blade baling2 tanpa kapal naik dok.

Kerugian CPP dibandingkan dgn FPP
– Mahal
– Perawatan susah
– Mempunyai rongga2 pada shaft propeller sehingga kalau terjadi benturan bisa bengkok / patah.

– Tros mudah terbelit

Anchor handling tug supply (AHTS) vessels are vessels which supply oil rigs, tow them to location, anchor them up and, in a few cases, serve as an Emergency Rescue and Recovery Vessel (ERRV).

AHTS differ from Platform Supply Vessels (PSV’s)in being fitted with winches for towing and anchor handling, having an open stern to allow the decking of anchors, and having more power to increase the bollard pull. The machinery is specifically designed for anchor handling operations. They also have arrangements for quick anchor release, which is operable from the bridge or other normally manned location in direct communication with the bridge. The reference load used in the design and testing of the towing winch is twice the static bollard pull.
