<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Back freight</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah pembayaran kembali kepada kapal, karena kapal membawa kembali muatan ke pelabuhan asalnya.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Dead freight</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah uang yang harus dibayarkan kepada kapal karena satu pihak tidak menepati janji untuk memuai kapal dengan muatan penuh.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Surchange</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah uang tambahan dari freight rate oleh karena ukuran/berat muatan melebihi ukuran yang ditentukan.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Constructive total loss</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah kapal atau muatan yang rusak, dimana biaya untuk menyelamatkan atau memperbaiki akan melebihi nilai harga muatan/kapal tersebut.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Deadweight factor</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah perbandingan antara isi ruang muatan dan daya angkut muatan kapal tersebut.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Demmurage</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah uang yang harus dibayarkan oleh pencharter karena muat bongkar melebihi laydays yang tercantum didalam charter party.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">General average</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah perbandingan pengorbanan dari semua pihak yang berkepentingan sesuai dengan nilai dari barang yang dimilikinya, pada waktu sejumlah barang muatan dikorbankan untuk menyelematkan kapal dan muatan lainnya dari suatubahaya.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Indispute</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah suatu keadaan dimana terjadi perbedaan jumlah muatan anatara keadaan sebenarnya dan data didalam dokumen.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Revenue ton</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah suatu ukuran untuk menentukan freight (uang tambang), pertimbangan antara berat dan volume barang.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Measurement ton</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah suatu ukuran muatan yang perhitungan 1 measurement ton sama dengan 40 cft.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Manko</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah selisih antara berat muatan yang dimuat dan dibongkar.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Flenzen</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah muatan yang datangnya terlambat pada saat akan berangkat, sehingga belum ditempatkan di palka dengan baik (temporary stowage).</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Over carriage cargo</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah keadaan dimana suatu muatan terbawa melewati pelabuhan bongkarnya, karena kelalaian dalam membongkar.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Over stowage cargo</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah keadaan dimana suatu muatan akan dibongkar berada di bagian bawah dari muatan pelabuhan berikutnya.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Long hatch</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah keterlambatan muat bongkar, karena terlambat di salah satu palka.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Shortlanded cargo</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah jumlah muatan yang dibongkar kurang dari yang sebenarnya disebut ‘ shortlanded indispute’, lawannya overlanded.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Claim</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah tuntutan ganti rugi yang diajukan oleh penerima barang, karena barangnya rusak, kurang.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Tracer </span></b><span style="color: black">adalah pengusutan terhadap muatan-muatan yang rusak atau hilang/kurang, dengan cara menghubungi kapal dan pelabuhan-pelabuhan lain yang disinggahi.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Cargo outturn report</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah laporan hasil kegiatan muat bongkar barang di pelabuhan.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Full and down</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah suatu keadaan dimana kapal dimuati hingga seluruh ruang muat penuh dan mencapai sarat maximum yang diijinkan.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Stowage factor</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah jumlah ruangan dalam cuft atau cbm yang digunakan untuk memadat muatan seberat 1 ton.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Capacity plan</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah bagian kapal yang berisi data-data tentang kapasitas ruang muat, daya angkut, ukuran palka dan tangki, deadweight scale, free board, letak titik berat palka/tangki dll.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Deck load capacity</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah kemapuan sebuah geladak untuk menahan beban muatan diatasnya, dinyatakan dalam ton/m2 atau lbs/ft2.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Container stack load</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah kemampuan geladak ( 4 sepatu container ) untuk menahan berat container yang ditempatkan diatasnya.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">CY (container yard)</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah lapangan penumpukan container dimana container disusun rapi memakai top leader atau side loader secara berbaris.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">CFS (container freight station)</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah tempat dimana muatan dimuat ke dalam container (stuffing) atau muatan dikeluarkan dari container (stripping).</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">TEU (twenty feet equivalent unit)</span></b><span style="color: black"> = unit padanan petikemas ukuran 20 kaki, misal cont 20’ = 1 teu dan 1 cont40’ = 2 teu’s.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Lash</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah lighter aboard ship, adalah jenis kapal yang mampu mengangkut muatan berupa lighters (tongkang = barges).</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">OBO</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah oil bulk ore, kapal pengangkut minyak sekaligus biji besi.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">VLCC (very large crude carrier) </span></b><span style="color: black">adalah kapal tanker pengangkut minyak mentah ukuran besar.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">ULCC(ultra large crude carrier) </span></b><span style="color: black">adalah kapal tanker pengangkut minyak mentah ukuran sangat besar.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">Roro (roll on roll of)</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah jenis kapal yang dilengkapi dengan ramp (jembatan = jalan) untuk kendaraan masuk/keluar kapal langsung ke dermaga.</span></p>
<p style="text-indent: -0.25in; margin-left: 0.5in" class="MsoNormal" align="justify"><b><span style="color: black">SWL (safety working load)</span></b><span style="color: black"> adalah keamanan muat dari peralatan muat bongkar dikapal sesuai certificate yang dimilikinya.</span></p>
